At the recent Milan Fashion Week, Tod’s unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection, titled “Artisanal Intelligence,” under the creative direction of Matteo Tamburini. The event took place at the Gallery of Modern Art, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to blending art with craftsmanship. 

The collection showcased a variety of outerwear pieces, including tailored leather trench coats, shearling furs, and woolen pea coats. These were complemented by fitted knitwear and broad-shouldered blouses paired with trousers, reflecting a harmonious blend of functionality and luxury. Tamburini drew inspiration from artists’ surface treatments, incorporating materials such as brushed alpaca wool, combed jacquard, and patchwork leather. 

A notable highlight of the show was the presence of Italian model Carla Bruni, who donned a leather dress crafted from scrap leather, serving as a living tribute to Tod’s artistry. Additionally, artisans were present on-site, hand-stitching Gommino car shoes, underscoring the brand’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship. Founder Diego Della Valle emphasized the irreplaceable value of artisans’ hands in the creative process. 

The color palette of the collection was inspired by natural tones, reflecting the rich hues of Italian landscapes. Accessories featured the iconic Gommino shoe in a new “glove” model with hand-woven leather rings, as well as clogs in brushed premium leathers. Handbags, such as the Di Bag Folio and Di Bag Swing, showcased saddlery-inspired craftsmanship and exclusive materials, embodying a sense of lightness and simplicity. 

Creative Director Matteo Tamburini continues to steer Tod’s towards a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, reinforcing the brand’s position in the modern luxury fashion landscape.
