HERMAN (Her – Man) is a new collection designed by Raif Adelberg, launched in stores in Spring of 2016.

Inspired by Raif’s time spent in Los Angeles during the late eighties and nineties, HERMAN embodies the surf, skate, and music scene of those eras. “The eighties and nineties were influential years in my life,” he explains. “When I talk about surf, it’s the fluidity of the brand. And skate is the style, and punk is the attitude. Rock is sex appeal.”

Mixing up exquisite fabrics and high-end cuts with an original, authentic attitude, HERMAN offers up pieces that are distinct and unique. Produced in Vancouver, where Raif is currently based, the collection is made with carefully selected fabrics and trims. He uses handspun, handknit wools and cashmere, with the finest of cottons, mixed with a rock attitude.

Raif designs with the idea of creating something truly authentic for someone who knows how to wear it. “I love the idea of picturing a woman who has a certain sense of sophistication, confidence, but is still a bit rough around the edges. It’s like when a rock star enters a stage, everyone notices him. The presence without the ego.” HERMAN is an experience, an accessory for those with a true sense of style.

“The collection is pieces made to be put into your own context. Like a tube of paint, it’s up to you to create. It’s about allowing the individual have their own point of view on how they see things. I want to see people create style. It’s more about style and less about clothing.”

An accomplished artist, designer and innovator, Raif’s pieces have been worn by style stars including Kendall Jenner, Future, Rihanna, Jared Leto, Nick Wooster and many more. HERMAN is carried by prestigious retailers worldwide, including Barneys (NYC, Beverly Hills & Miami), Holt Renfrew, Ron Herman Japan, Just One Eye in Los Angeles, and many more. A full women’s collection will be introduced for Autumn 2017.
